Golden and crunchy on the outside with a tender, cheesy center, these little pillows of goodness are hard to resist. Deep-fried ravioli are the perfect bite-sized snack to get any party started! Served with marinara for dipping, they’re a fun and flavourful appetizer to serve at any gathering!

Ingredients

  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Approximately 1 cup buttermilk
  • Approximately 2 cups Italian style bread crumbs
  • 1 package of store bought cheese ravioli
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan
  • 1 jar store bought marinara sauce (warmed) for dipping

Instructions

  1. Pour approximately 2 inches of vegetable oil into a large frying pan. Over medium heat bring the oil to 325 degrees F.
  2. Dip ravioli in buttermilk and then dredge in the bread crumbs.
  3. Fry the ravioli in batches, turning occasionally until golden brown, roughly 3 minutes. Remove from oil and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  4. Sprinkle with parmesan and serve with the warmed marinara for dipping.
