My cream cheese banana bread is a must-try twist on a classic. The addition of cream cheese makes this loaf incredibly moist, giving it that perfect, tender texture that keeps everyone coming back for more. Ingredients

  • 8 oz package of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup softened butter or margerine
  • 1 cup mashed banana
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine cream cheese, sugar, and butter. Mix well.
  2. Blend in bananas and eggs.
  3. Stir the dry ingredients together in a bowl and then combine with the banana mixture, just until moistened. Do not over-mix.
  4. Pour into a greased and floured 9x5” loaf pan.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hr and 10 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
